UPDATE: I’m currently away travelling. So the stuff below is true, but not the whole truth
***
Hello. I’m a columnist for the Irish edition of The Sunday Times. I also write features for both the Times and the Irish Examiner and sometimes fill in for staffers there. From time to time, I contribute to radio talk shows, most often The Last Word on Today FM.
Between early 2003 and the start of 2007, I worked full-time for the ST in Dublin, initially on the Home section and then in Business. I was the Money Editor for about two years, which was odd, as I’ve never lived within my means in my life, but illuminating, because at least now I know what I should do if I ever get around to organising my finances.
Oh, and I also have a food blog because writing about food doesn’t feel like work at all. It’s called A Random Walk down Grub Street. [Mind you, it's dormant these days. Not doing a hell of a lot of cooking, if the truth be told.]
If you want to get in touch, leave a comment or email me.

Dear Ms. Kathy Foley
My name is Michael Müller-Rust, and I am currently doing my IB Theatre Arts diploma at the International School of Stuttgart.
I am doing a research commission on Vietnamese Water Puppetry at present and during my research I came upon an entry by you on Vietnamese Water Puppetry in the ‘Encyclopedia of Asian theatre/ edited by Samuel L. Leiter. ‘ I was therefore hoping you had more information on this topic (possibly primary knowledge or sources), that you could share share with me.
Many thanks
Michael

Damn,
Kathy, I thought you were going to do the Homer, quick left-right fliting of the eyes and whisper to our friend Michael “who told you about the water puppetry?”.

That would have given the game away, though. He was happy enough with that response (I know cos he emailed me) and my secret stayed safe. It won’t for much longer though with the likes of you drawing attention to it.
Ah, my pretties…
