The Gromit story was true. And now I am getting abuse from my former colleagues for not spotting the actual April Fool’s story: ‘Green plan to let gas-guzzlers zip up the capital’s bus lanes’. (No link as Irish copy still not online at the ST).
Given the idiotic fashion in which Dublin’s traffic has been managed over the years, that story seemed quite plausible to me. My critical faculties must be dimming with age.
